RAY, JUSTINA – has been studying wolverines for more than a decade. To better understand these elusive creatures and the perspectives of those who have dealt with their wily ways, she has tapped into the knowledge of First Nations and trappers and traversed thousands of kilometers in small airplanes to record tracks and movements. Dr. Ray will outline the importance of places like Ontario’s Far North – with its freeflowing rivers and almost no roads in an area the size of France – as a haven for a creature that truly represents wilderness.
